Cyclone Rose: A cyclonic storm struck the coastal areas of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh, sinking a boat off the coast of Srikakulam; 5 fishermen missing

Cyclone Gulab hit the coastal region of Andhra Pradesh at around 7 p.m. It is also raining with strong winds in Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh. Here a boat capsized in a storm. Five fishermen have gone missing since the incident. Police are trying to find them. The fishermen were returning to the boat in the evening when they were hit by a cyclone.
1600 people were evacuated
The meteorological department has issued orange alerts in the northern parts of Andhra Pradesh and southern parts of Orissa. Relief and rescue operations have started in both the states following a warning from the meteorological department. 24 teams of NDRF and 42 teams of Odisha Disaster Rapid Action Force have been deployed in Odisha. According to reports, 1600 people have been evacuated so far.

Chance of heavy rains in 6 states
Earlier on Sunday evening, a hurricane was expected to hit the coast near Kalingapatnam between northern Andhra Pradesh (Visakhapatnam) and southern Odisha (Gopalpur). Wind speeds range from 75 km / h to 85 km / h. The wind speed is likely to reach 95 km per hour as the storm intensifies. The storm will continue to move westwards in south Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Goa and Gujarat. Heavy to very heavy rains are expected in all these areas from Sunday to Tuesday morning
